Parents And Carer Help

Balmain Little Athletics Club is "powered" by parents, carers and community volunteers

We are very proud of the community vibe at the Club. It is part of our ethos that parents/carers get involved to encourage and support all our athletes.

The assistance of volunteer parents/carers is essential to the running of the Club, including setting up, packing up, results entry and the running of events on Saturday competition mornings, training sessions and at Championships. Click here for Results Entry Information.

At Saturday competition assisting with your child’s age group is the best way to be close to the action and encourage all athletes to try their best. You can support the Age Managers by recording results at events, marshalling athletes either at the start or end of running events, collecting shots/discus, raking in the long jump pit or measuring any throwing events.

We also ask parents to help set up equipment during the season. Please arrive by 7.15am on the morning when your child's age group is rostered on to help. Committee members are available to give you direction. At the end of competition, parents are also asked to help pack up equipment.

An adult from each family (other than Age Managers) is expected to help twice a season with the Canteen and BBQ - sign up for Canteen and BBQ.

Parents/carers of participating athletes are required to volunteer at Zone, Regional and State Championships.

All our Age Managers and Committee Members are volunteers. You can apply online to be an Age Manager. If you are interested in supporting the Club in any way or would like to join the Committee, speak to a Committee Member, send us an email or complete the online nomination form at the end of the season. Help is always appreciated.
