Parent Helpers / Volunteers

Balmain Little Athletics Centre is run entirely by parents and community volunteers.

When signing your child up to Balmain Little Athletics Centre you are expected to be involved and you are agreeing to help run our centre.

There are many ways you can help during Saturday competition, by supporting your child's age manager in running events (such as starting, organising children into heats or lines, measuring, raking, spiking, retreiving throwing equipment, setting up hurdles etc).

We also ask parents to help set up equipment during the season - please arrive by 7.30am on the morning when your child's age group is rostered on to help.

At the end of competition, parents are also asked to help pack up equipment for the last event of the day. Members of the Committee will guide set up / pack up.

A parent from each family is also asked to help once a season with the canteen / BBQ. Funds raised from the canteen / BBQ go to support our coaching program that helps all our athletes do their best.

If you need to change your rostered time, you can manage this on SignUp. 

Parents of competing athletes are also asked to help at Zone, Regional and State Championships.

Age managers and Committee members are also volunteers. Please reach out to anyone on the Committee if you have skills or experience that would assist in running our Centre or if you would like to step up as an age amnager or Committee member. Help is always appreciated.
